Sounds like he was trying to figure out some sort of structural layout to me. Lillian isn't a Civil Engineer, though.

I'm going to mostly be AFK for the next few days. I might be able to have a quick check in, but it's likely to be monday before you see more posts from me other than maybe a quick one liner.

Visiting friends out in the sticks - crappy wifi signal and we'll be doing fun stuff (BBQ, powwow, games etc).

Have fun: if the midges bite, give them hell.

apologies, in Theatre of the Mind I didn't visualize the alligator attack reaching Sam in the dug hole in the same round - I thought it was coming at Gabriel and Lillian first, and was trying to just dodge its attack on us.

PS: didn't Lillian have a small handgun on her? Maybe it would scare it off

No, sorry, it was requested to be removed in character generation. She might come back and wack it with the dropped shoe.

Who currently has the revolver that Samuel gave to Lillian for her protection before?

Pretty sure Lillian said she gave it back.

I would certainly assume that is the case in the morning after.

I did faintly consider screaming for help.

I decided that if you use your Drive, not only should you get a success, but it should be rewarded some other way too - so in this case, the gator is driven off by Samuel's attack, even though it wasn't enough to kill it. It doesn't remove the threat entirely (if you wanted to do that, you'd have to enter the swamp to finish the job - probably not the best idea), but it does drive it away for now.

Post coming tomorrow, today has been too busy.

There's a nice handout for anyone that reads the journal, and there have been quite a few other nice ones too - which I can't claim credit for. Some of them are from the official campaign, but many of the others (including the photo of the box with contents, and the journal handout that so far only Dr_B has seen) were done by various fans of the campaign for their own home games. I'm particularly pleased about the journal one - the GM who ran that for his group went over and beyond, i think, it creating that one. Everyone should read the journal just so that they can see what it looks like.

*whistles innocently*

I'm certainly impressed!

Block and Parry + Stealth both go up by one. Failed both painfully and embarrassingly, learn from the experience.
