Chapter 4: Level 3 dungeon

OOC:

I'm afraid Tobias max HP reduced by 19 more on top ot taking 19+13 damage from attack of opportunity

Criella retreat leaving Tobias behind. Ghosts follow the retreating characters - the two that was fighting with Nyx move through Tobias as if he is not a thing one more moves through Nyx and prepare to attack him from behind.

OOC:

They can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. Ghost 4 took dash action

The other two continue attacking Tobias who didn't manage to leave the room yet.

Nyx not hit, but Tobias got one hit and damage 18 (more). You need to make another constitution saving throw even if your current HP dropped to 0.

Hard working & protecting (the Frog) Criella quickly closes on the ghost as she casts magic upon her silver scimitar and attacks.

OOC:

Criella moves 5'. Bonus casts Magic Weapon. Attacks Ghost 4, 13 maybe to hit for 9 damage. Concentrating on Magic Weapon. AC 16.

Nyx casts a spell to affect as many of the spirits as possible centerd to the north of nyx so it affects 2 undead in the room and the one to the north of me

Tobias will look at the ghost blocking his path from exiting the room and in desperation draw his rapier and attack. He is like a cornered and wounded animal.

Criella's scimitar penetrates ghost and cause it to scream in pain. Scream is quite human. Tinkara's magic missiles also cause ghost to cry.
The other one seem to care less about Tobias's rapier and none of them see to care at all about Wither and Bloom created by Nyx

OOC:

resistance and immunity accordingly

More over the ghost hit with rapier by Tobias talks to him in good common as he and other ghosts keep fighting : You will serve me in your afterlife! but looks like Tobias is not going to die just yet and avoid both attacks

Nyx isn't so lucky though

Roll a DC 14 Constitution Save for each attack that hits. Pass will not change amount of necrotic damage but will prevent your max HP reducing by the same amount
And initiative is back to all PCs

Every so fighting Criella knows she can only handle minor undead, but these are major ghosts and knows she is outclassed. With Tink's blast, Criella keep concentration on her magic sword but uses a lesser blast of magic missiles at the ghost (4).

OOC:

Criella casts magic missile and keeps concentration on magic weapon. She hits for 11 force damage.

DM - my last casting of MM should have said 5th lvl. I have corrected, with apologies.

I use my last level 4 spell slot to cast Magic Missile, aiming at number 4. If number 4 is defeated, I will shift two spaces left and direct the remaining missiles at #3.

Nyx is able to barely block and evade one of the ghostly attacks but is struck by the 2nd. Staggering under the blow he mutters a spell to move Tobias out of the midst of the ghosts Teleport Tobias to behind Tinkara as far down the hall as possible, sending a mental message Do not resist, I am moving you. before shifting into a a large cave bear. If shifting to a large creature, I assume I would just shift out into the open area to the south and push those there out of the way?

I'm sorry, I did not provide details of what does it mean "as though it had failed a saving throw against the polymorph spell". In particular you are limited to only perform actions a frog can. Unlike wild shape you are not a human inside frog. You are frog.

Ok, I had thought that my consciousness was still inside the frog and calling on divine intervention (a new power for higher level characters in 2024 rules) does not require verbal or somatic components, or even a spell slot.
