I completed my intro course with a grade of 99.58% which rounds up to 100%!


Yes, it’s just the first course and I have 63 credits to go, but I’ve always been a mediocre student so I’ll enjoy the 4.0 while it lasts.

I’m off to Canada tomorrow, but a teenage girl sideswiped my SUV yesterday (a nice girl too, crying and apologizing… my daughter and I were trying to cheer her up!), so I’m dealing with that today. So I won’t post for at least a week.

I’m back, but probably unable to post until Monday or so. I just started my next two classes while in Canada. I got all the stuff that’s due up until tomorrow, but have two major papers due Sunday.

So… new phone policy at school. Phones are off when stored.

I always model the policy that I enforce. This means I am phone-free all day, which makes posting at work tricky, and I end up doing homework for my doctoral program at home until midnight. I want to try getting a post up so we can wrap the game! Just been busy and the transition from vacation to work is tricky!!

Hey, everyone, I hate to cut this level short. I wanted to build this level up with "third-eye" cutscenes (based on those in the original Street Fighter 2010) and a pseudo-betrayal with Emoticat as the final boss. (You’d have saved him from the cyboplasm; he’d live.)

But I’m up until midnight doing grad school work, and even for a Labor Day party on Sunday, I might have to blow it off to meet my Sunday-midnight deadlines. I intend to work all day tomorrow and all day Monday. If I try to squeeze in game posts, they’re going to be rushed and they’ll feel like going through the motions of playing a game instead of playing a game.

I’d rather leave you guys an opportunity to post an happily-ever-after than pepper you with intermittent posts to force more street-fights into the level. It’s not the ideal ending, but I gotta be realistic. I apologize it can’t be something more than that.

I read your endings. I hoped to be a little more present, but the workload is insane now that I teach by day and take classes by night. Last week, I was up past 4:00 am on Friday and Saturday. Last night, I took so long setting up my presentation and selecting sources that I *started* at midnight and finished at 8:30 this morning. I slept for an hour… after working out because I was so weirdly energetic.

It’s a good thing I have ADD. If I’m into something, I don’t tire easily, even with something physical like skiing. Obviously, there’s a limit to how many all-nighters I can take though. Tonight I hope to get more than one hour of sleep. Hours-plural. That’s the goal.

Anyway, I get a week off from classes on 9/22 so I’ll check in that week, then get off this site permanently-ish. (Like in 3+ years, I intend to be back on the PbP horse. ~5 years if I slow down to the part-time-student pace.) For now, thanks for playing. It was fun and I liked having our little group.
