Phew! Good. I was recently in an adventure in which we saved a young girl being stripped nude and assaulted. I insisted we believe and protect her, and she ended up being a liar and the cause of the destruction going on. I didn’t like being punished for standing up to people sexually assaulting an underage girl. So I’m glad that’s not the case here!

But yes I’ve definitely been getting the "things are not as they seem" vibes. Looking forward to finding out!

It would be very surprising if she were the murderer. I suspect a doppelganger, personally, but Miyana doesn't have the knowledge of such things. I want to go on record as saying I am enjoying the game considerably and look forward to what happens next. Miyana wasn't kidding when she spoke of us adopting Morayana as an adventurer.

Yeah I agree. I would be happy to play Moryana as a back up character. She'd probably be a druid.

Moryana is probably too kind and innocent for adventuring life, at least as she is currently. I can't picture her using violence, maybe not even to save her own life.

Here is a reference to Karameikos map [ref]. The Duke's road runs from Specularum in the south to Threshold in the north. Goblins have been spotted all along the Duke's road, from Kelvin up north. Maybe they are moving out of the forests to the east as well (east to west), but the Highreach river forms a natural barrier they won't be able to cross.

You don't know exactly where the goblins usually live, except there was always a sizeable number of them in the forests, and deep in the mountain chains to the north. Elves inhabit the forests, but even they don't venture into the very deep parts, which is the domain of the fey and other stranger creatures and nature gods (like the 'Lady of the Forest').

Halav didn't say where the Beastmen are at, except that they are 'stirring' in the forests.

Another clue you should consider is that the goblins you recently encountered in Mistamere and earlier than that were all sickly and emaciated (that was mentioned several times)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hmm, interesting. OK, well, it seems that the goblins have reason to move -- whether it be elves, or a famine or disease, or the beast men pushing them out. And remind me, where is Mistamere? near Threshold?

Mistamere is a couple of days north of Threshold, which is itself the last human settlement on the frontier

Thank you. Hmm. Well, I am not sure what to do here. What do others think is best?

Drgwen says:
OK I've looked at the map. Here's my questions: Let's say we wanted to explore the area where the goblins are raiding from or perhaps where they are getting pushed out of. If we went to Mistamere, would that put us in that area? What about if we went back to the burial mound where we got the Halav sword? Or the area where the angry elf threatened the loggers? I'm tying to see if there is a spatial pattern, or what might be related to what. Or what!
The answer is a 'yes' for all three. The goblins are moving on mass from west to east, pushed out of the forests. You have seen it happening all along the Duke's road, from Mistamere down to Threshold, Verge, and Kelvin. You could choose to investigate any of the areas you mentioned, because the pattern seems to be the same.

ok then how about we take up Darius on his offer to explore the Mistamere area then work our way over to the burial mound (getting some sheep on the way for the goblins there)? Or maybe get sheep here in town, go to the mound first, and then up to Mistamere?
