Tiny Intro Chat

Hi!

Thanks for the invite.

My name is David, but I play using my online tag 'Didz', which was what my little sister used to call me before she could talk properly. She is now in her sixties and a grandmother living in Australia. I've just celebrated my 70th birthday.

I am a forever GM, so forgive me if I'm not a very good player; it's a bit odd being on the other side of the table.

Over thirty years as a Gamemaster running homebrew Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay games, and currently four years into a PbP campaign with six players that until recently was running on the Tavern-Leeper.com hosting site until it closed down last month. Currently trying to determine if GP is a suitable alternative hosting site for my game, as we still have about six years of gameplay to complete.

So, I'm here basically to pick up some tips on how to run a game on GP, and will probably be asking lots of stupid questions.

I'll try not to get in the way.

This game goes on hiatus 2025/06/15 until 2025/08/16

I have been running this game for several years now and need a bit of a break.

Please let me know if you would like/plan to continue after that time.

Players that do not respond, in game or this ooc thread, will be removed from the game before I re-open it after my summer break. Those that wish to continue will have their current story arc wrapped up at which time I will ask the more senior players to find other games, per the original intent of the game to give an intro and at least 1 story arc. This is so I can keep this game focused on newcomers without getting overloaded.

Thank you, @Psybermagi, for your time, patience, and imagination. I very much appreciate your affording us the opportunity to become more comfortable with the ruleset. I am a bit in awe of your ability to keep so many disparate threads in mind and cater to each one with the attention it deserves. It is a privilege and a pleasure to build stories with you!

It was lots of fun! Id love to continue, but definitely enjoy your break!!

Just a heads up. I time the various setting in separate forums and limit access for these to those playing in them.

Any who want to not read and get alerts for other games can speak up. Some enjoy reading others stories while other find the alerts annoying.

Feel free to give feedback if the game setup, instructions, or seeing descriptions to make it easier for those that come after

I think I got everyone's story moving. Speak up if I missed you. Juggling multple stories and players can cause me to miss things at times. Players are always welcome to group up by posting to the Cooperative Play thread in each of the setting forums
