My flight is in a few hours, and I began a post and lost it… I was hoping to suggest that the party acquire some stuff before leaving:
-10 iron rations per member of the expedition (5pcs and 2 npcs)
- 4-5 coils of rope
- 20-30 pints of lamp oil (in a solid cask) and both a hooded lantern and a bullseye lantern
- a couple of shovels and pickaxes
- reserves of paper, ink, quills
- and, as needed, a pack animal.

There are no "iron rations" in OSRIC, so I assume you meant "trail rations". Without the pack animal, this comes to 495 gp. Someone please deduct this from party funds. If you want the cheaper, but heavier, standard rations, the price drops to 187 gp (but Billie's encumbrance rises to 253 lbs).

Sry for my lateness in posting.
Grim deposits 370 gold into a personal acct at Prosperity Factor.
Thx so much. :)

I've been bad about keeping up as well, sorry. Thrud will deposit 600 of personal funds at Properity Factor.

Everyone has now deposited their hard-earned gold with the Prosperity Factor. The only thing still holding up your return to the Halls is confirmation of the payment for your supplies ...

Once this is sorted, you're good to go.

@Everyone, how we want to go on the Rations? I vote we do standard instead of trail, big price difference.
Aug 10, 2025 10:35 pm
Now that we are paying for porters, we can afford the weight, so I agree.
Aug 10, 2025 10:56 pm
Works for me.
Aug 11, 2025 5:11 pm
OK, understood, standard rations it is. I'll update Billie's load-out accordingly.

So, the total bill is 187 gp. How are you going to pay that? Have you established the party kitty you talked about, or are you just going to split it five ways?

Once this is sorted, we can get back to dungeoneering!
Aug 11, 2025 5:16 pm
I say we just split it five ways.
Aug 11, 2025 11:52 pm
Why don't we just take it from the party pool? That's what it's for, after all.
Aug 12, 2025 12:45 am
Reads well, yes. :)
Aug 12, 2025 1:39 am
Yeah, let’s spend some of the party pool.
Aug 12, 2025 9:30 am
So from the 581 in our party pool, we’ll pay it, and that’ll leave us 394 in the Pool. That work ok?
Aug 12, 2025 10:02 am
Seems correct to me
Aug 12, 2025 12:45 pm
187 from the party pool it is! :)

Thanks WD. I've created a separate thread so that you can track the Party Pool without having to hunt through General Chat.

OK, we're ready to resume adventuring. It would be helpful if you could give me an indication of your plans for the next delve.

Are you going to stick with what you know, i.e. return to the Broken Head and re-enter The Halls through the top of the pyramid?

Or is there some other avenue you would like to explore?
Aug 12, 2025 8:57 pm
The well known path seems preferable to Ella, despite the risk of running into halfling racketeers and vengeful leaderless darlings. I’m in favour of continuing to seek the great cavern and, with it, another entrance that keeps us away from the halflings. Now we also have the means to acquire our own license, should we choose to.

I vote that we explore that opening with a firepit midway up the cliffs. It might be another way in, and we didn't check it out.
