4. Fog of War.

Davros: That's exactly what I wanted. Garrosh, my friend I'm slowly starting to believe that you're a mind-reader. Now, come on, ideally the massacre will be already over, but stuff your pockets, a good show is better with some snacks! So, we're waiting, honored babysitter.

Grog: I do know a rather unused way into the Orcs.

Georffrey: I would like to go on record that defying a mercenary captain is not a good idea under normal circumstances, let alone during a battle. However, the captain clearly has confidence in master Grog here and has afforded him the authority to take care of the guests, as he said. If you feel that taking us to a position where you are able to watch over us yet may be able to help your master, so be it. After all, we are only four and there are at least twenty of you in the camp, and we know what happened the last time you were attacked by a smaller force.


Geoffrey Moonstruck said something to Davros Pine in Elvish.

The half-elf raises a brow, not understanding the secrecy, he finishes chewing and answers using the same tone...

Abruptly annoyed Grog says, "Why speak in hidden language. It is rude. It takes an extra hour or more of travel to come to the Orcs from a backside."

Geoffrey shrugs and says nothing, waiting for Grog to make up his mind.

Davros grins. Well, that's unmistakably true. But he did ask me a really uncomfortable question and I didn't want to make such a swell company uncomfortable. he reassures the lad while being honest, but still actually interested, if he will pry. Anyhow, that could provide some entertainment while his steady half-orc friend is thinking.

Grog looks to the entrance way, "Eat. Some time must pass." and he goes to table and immediately looks for choice items to eat. You know he doesn't get eat like this.

Upon seeing Grog go for the food so quickly, Cosrath decides to eat as well, eventually sitting down for a proper meal. He seems to prefer the meat.

In between bites of some local game, he turns to Grog. "What do you know about the orcs? Are they a large group under a captain like you are?"

Grog says as he devours any food rapidly, "Orc are vile creatures, but Tom has agreements with them. Rob but not kill. Is how I think it goes. Something like that. We are not allowed to attack them." He eats the food like someone who knows he shouldn't be. This is so much better than he normally gets. And like Cosrath, Grog favors meat.

Garrosh decides to eat some of the food as well, but tries to stick to lighter stuff. He wants to be in peak condition in case he has to fight soon.

Geoffrey takes the opportunity to look at Grog, as inconspicuously as possible.

Davros grins happily, though, while not eating as heartily as the rest, he does snack while turning to Cosrath Tell me my scaled friend, is the whole muzzle thing a common practice when moving the dragonborn against your will. I mean it looks a bit, how should I put it.... Excessive....

"We will leave soon for that back way into the Orcs lair. Hopefully all will be dealing Tom on his huge lizard." as he gouges himself and mostly on hearty meat." He appears very interested to take the party to the Orc's lair. Perhaps more to see the LADY.

Cosrath bares his teeth and exhales slightly. The air in front of his mouth fogs up, as if he were holding ice inside. "You bind a human's hands so they cannot use weapons. You close a dragonborn's mouth so they cannot use their breath." He seems to understand the bandits' actions, but adds, "Doesn't make helmets like those any more comfortable."

"Huge lizard? Never seen that before." He tilts his head, intrigued by the idea of Tom on such a mount. "An agreement, huh. Wonder why the orcs broke it when they haven't until now... unless they somehow knew they could get enough gold to make killing and capturing worthwhile."

Grog says he eats, "I'm like others. We thought Tom wrong about agreement but none of our men have died. He was right about that. Now there is no agreement. Many will die."

With whom was the agreement?, Geoffrey asks, trying to take advantage of Grog’s loquaciousness. Do the orcs have a warchief or a shaman who speaks for the tribe? Would be nice if taking out a few high-priority targets would send the rest into chaotic disarray, Geoffrey thinks.

Grog replies back, "I know the same thing everyone knows. They are just Orcs. They will kill you if they get a chance." He doesn't indicate that he really knows anything about them. Seem he just knows a back way in.
