Alex will peer into the outhouse.

Erani and Kurt see no danger at present, but do notice that there are a few places behind the outhouse where rats have raked the dirt up into piles. Either digging up or hiding things.

Alexander within the out house you can see this is in fact the rats nest. Scattered throughout the bedding and a few squirming bodies you can see ‘treasures’ they have gathered and one or two divits full of wiggling naked kits.

"That's a lot of rats," Alex says as he directs his mage hand to sift through the nest to see if the rats "treasures" have any value.

Grim looks in, Filthy creatures. Good for nothing but spreading disease. We should set that building on fire.

"Well, they are tasty."

Erani clacks his raptor's beak in an approximation of smacking lips.

Torch carrying Kurt says, "Erani. You need to upgrade your eating."

"We can go in there with say three torches and scare the rats off and loot their treasure."

I need a investigation check for Alexanders mage hand search.

Investigation check.

Alexander most of what you find is just random bits of trash the rats have seen as worthy, but within the tangle you do find 12 copper, 11 silver, and one gold piece.

Alex pockets the coins and dismisses his mage hand. "So, shall we continue on or did one of see something else worth our attention?"

Torch holding Kurt asks, "You didn't perhaps see the keys to the door up front. Perhaps the rats manage to get a hold of shiny them."

"I didn't see the keys but I will have another look," Alex summons his mage hand and looks once more in the rats nest.

Not a fan of rats, or any rodents for that matter, Maethor remained well back from the others while they search their burrow for anything of worth.

"Perhaps we should see what they've buried in back of the building."

So what are you doing now?

I will fly to the back of the building and investigate what the rats have been burying.

Erani you return to the corner were you saw the disturbed earth. The rain has started to come down in sheets and the ground is a muddy mess. It takes you some time, 10 minutes to locate and fish about in each of the hiding places but you find a silver key with a wolfs head engraved upon it in one of the holes. Lighting flashes in the darkened sky above as you look down at the key.

"I've found a key! I suggest we get out of this rain and see if we can gain access to the keep."

I make a low altitude flight (just off the ground) over to the keep door.
