Chapter 2: Rotten Halls

"Everybody's talking to things in their heads now," Ixion sighed. "Think we can wedge the sarcophagus lid between the jaws?"

Ixion and Vatoris notice one of the flames in its eye sockets snuffs out as Tinkara crawls out.

Zean caming to his senses a little, and hearing his companions conversation:
"Firends... do you remember that there was a secret passage from last sarcophagus chamber? Maybe it is here too? Let's first look for it, before risking becoming a toothpick for some stone skull, what do you think?"

Zean starts to look for secret doors on each wall of the chamber after those words. During the activity he provides another comment:
"Besides... I think the skull is only passing 2 beings before it shuts... so its the third one that triggers the jaws... I wonder if we could make it count something as being going through it?"

Sure, Vatoris it could be certainly helpful... - Zean said still with clouded eyes as in some kind of dream, or just recently waking up. But slowly getting back to his normal self.

"I have an extra dagger, if that will do the job of jamming the hinge. Clearly I'm not much on hand to hand combat."

Zean finds no secret doors.

"Come on. Wedge that dagger in there good and tight, and let's trade in this crypt for the next one," Ixion encouraged as he guarded the mouth and waited for his companions to exit.

"I agree with Ixion, I'm ready to get to the next crypt. I don't want to push our luck."

I nervously fly back and forth in the hall, looking constantly for anything that might be threatening.

When Zean is looking at the walls he see the same maze of tiny passages cut into the walls as Tinkara saw when entered the place first time. But he could also hear a faint yet grotesque scuttling of insects from within. Passages are deep - if this would be a secret door you would see the space beyond through those passages. There is only a small art of the wall that has no holes/mazes.
Zean took his time to see and check every bit of the wall to understand how/if it could be moved, but conclude that this is not a secret door after after spending enough time.

I hold up my spare dagger.

"If someone wants to use this to jam the jaw mechanism, I'm willing to sacrifice the blade. However, I don't want to do the jamming. Perhaps the person who did it successfully before would be the best choice."

"Hmm... nothing... nothing at all! So no secret door this time!?" - Zean commented his thoughts out loud, after not finding any passages in the room.

"Hmm... this sound of insects creeps me out. You are right... better let's get moving." - Zean says preparing to crawl out through the stone skull, back from the room.

Hearing that Tinkara wants to use her own blade for jamming the jaw says, before crawling in:
"That would be a real waste Tinks! Let's better use swords of undead guardians from the first tomb. They should still be laying at the beginning of the norther corridor with a propeller. Vatoris, you think you could bring one of those and jam the jaws, before me and my Brother in Thunder will be making our daring escape?"

Sure Vatoris is really quick to get back with a sword and fit's point into the jaws hinge. Here you go he announce.

"Thank you a lot, friend!" - and with those words Zean crawls out through stone skull.

Tinkara, Ixion and Vatoris see the second flame goes out when Zean crawls out, but nothing else happens.
Longsword is still jamming the jaws.

"Good job guys! Let's get on with it!

Throgin then goes through the jaws as fast as he can.
