General conversation/OOC commentary

Eyes wrote me a note a few days ago informing me that his life circumstances (providing 24-hour care for family members) are such that he has to step away from GP, but I didn't realize until today that he'd also withdrawn from the game and deleted Woody.

With two of our players gone, I'm going to pose the question again: when would you like me to invite new players to join us?

We don't NEED more PCs for this encounter; with the guards and the drow, you'll be fine. But I ask because we now know that Woody is a permanent NPC, and Adran is pretty unlikely to return. So I will be inviting at least one new player (we said we'd wait to see with MaJunior until the end of part five); it's just a question of when.

I would suggest recruiting another player. They could easily join up with the rest of the party after this encounter, either in the sewers or at the palace, when we have delivered the civlians

How many active players do we actually have now? Is it 4? I'm good with sticking with 4, just so it keeps things moving, but I have no objections recruiting more 1-2 more.

We technically have 4?? But Red will be stepping back a bit with her pregnancy. So it’s more 3 atm

@spaceseeker19 , does this mean the round 3 I posted doesn’t happen since she’s grappled? Sorry, I get confused sometimes with the posting ahead of time haha!

Juniper's attacks are coming next. Grappling doesn't affect attacks, just movement. Since Juniper succeeded in her CON save, there's no other conditions applied to her that might interfere with this turn.

Everyone, I apologize: I posted stuff out of order with this turn. The faerie creature cast Suggestion on Eozindra and she failed her saving throw, so the Suggestion worked. That was the end of the creature's turn, and I should have stopped there. Instead, I then continued with Eozindra's turn as if she had to act as a Reaction. That isn't the case; she won't act on the Suggestion until her turn, much later in the round. This also affects the Royal Guard's turn; he no longer is reacting to her action, because she hasn't taken any actions yet.

I've updated the offending post. I'm sorry for the error; my only explanation is that I'm getting over a virus as the rest of my family is coming down with it. Not an excuse, just a possible reason why I would make such a mistake.

no worries - you have made one complex encounter after another - I would have f'ed up multiple times by now, so you don't hear me complaining :D

Also wanted to mention that I’ve got family visiting for the holidays now, so while that shouldn’t affect my postings, you just never know. Please don’t let me hold anything up, even for a day. I don’t mind if you do a turn or two for Morik, I want everyone to enjoy the game.

Morik’s inclination is always to help the helpless first, and take the attention of the biggest threat. Beat mode is almost always a simple act of running up and slashing and biting things.

Thank you for the encouragement, and @grifter730 particularly for the head's up/reminder: we are approaching the end-of-year holidays faster than I realize. This is usually the time of year when games slow down, as people are traveling and/or spending even more quality time with friends and family. I'm happy to run characters for players when they're absent - I hope so, I've been doing it for months now! - and I always appreciate getting general direction for "this is what my character will do if I don't post more specifics" like @grifter730 and @idylliceffie have done.

But if a majority of the active players aren't posting, I'm inclined to wait a bit longer rather than proceed with my regular daily posts. That might not be fair to the one or two players who remain active, however. What do you all think?
