Here are my ideas on how Greta will know the others;
Greta is thrilled with the conference, and especially with the team building event as she gets to go with the team Esko Heikkinen is a member in. She has heard so much about his work, and studied many of his papers during her first 3 years in Engineering at the University of Iceland.
While working on secondment at the powerplant she has run into Dalvin Arnarson a number of times. She finds him difficult because he always starts every conversation with "Well, in my day we didn't...". But she is respectful of her elders, and always tries to be kind to the old man. I mean, he has never used socials!! She is disappointed he will be in her team, but decides that maybe it will be a chance for Dalvin to see that not all new ideas, or young people, are silly.
Not sure how to fit Mikko Alexander into her narrative. Maybe she has had a chance to talk with him during the conference, and found they both share an interest in something?
