Structured Gameplay

Step 1: Determine Initiative.

Initiative is determined by making a Simple (-) Cool or Vigilance roll. Cool should be used if your character is aware and ready for combat whereas Vigilance should be used when combat begins unexpectedly. When posting if you think there is a possibility of combat (especially if your character is the one initiating it) go ahead and post an Initiative Roll.

Step 2: Assign Initiative Slots

This is especially important. If you are attempting to use squad tactics keep in mind that your character does not necessarily have to act upon the initiative slot that you rolled for the character but that the Initiative Slots rolled by the other Players all become 'Player Slots' so you can coordinate and act accordingly. Default shall be by order of posting unless otherwise notified that you want to coordinate the attack.

Step 3: The Turn

During your character's turn, your character may take one (1) each of the following:

Maneuver - Aiming a weapon; Moving one range band closer or farther away; Opening a door; Diving behind cover; Standing up; Etc. (A second maneuver may be taken during a round by the character voluntarily suffering two (2) points of strain - though no single character may perform more than two maneuvers per turn)

Action - Slicing a computer; Unlocking a locked door, Firing a weapon, Punching or grappling an opponent; Instructing allies with a series of orders; Performing first aid on an ally; Sneaking up on a vigilant foe; Climbing a cliff; or Other skill use; etc.

Incidentals - Are minor activities that characters can undertake that require extremely little time or effort and may be performed without limit (within reason)

During combat please indicate in the OOC section your maneuver(s), Incidentals, and Action including the rolls for those actions.
