I mean if it's going to be improved might as well go beyond mildly frustrating into actually usable lol.

Yeah. Can we stop calling the code unusable, useless and other horrible names? It's doing its best.

Don't listen to them little api/users.class.php. You're great. We're all really proud of you.

Lol apologies, api/users.class.php.

Any ideas for the text?

0-1 days: "Within the last 24 hours"? That seems wordy, but "Today" is a tricky concept with timezones
1-2 days: "1 day ago"
2-14 days: "x days ago"

Today is fine. It doesn't have to be super exact language. It's just meant to give some indication of whether that person has been gone for a while or not

'Today' is fine.
'Less than 1 day ago' is fine too. The wordiness should not be a problem, it only adds two words to 'x day(s) ago', and is consistent.

Could also be '<1 day ago', if we want to save space without using "Today"

Do we think everyone would understand that? I first wrote '<' but changed it to 'Less than' to be accommodating.

I feel like everyone would understand that but I can't know of course. My vote would still be Today

Maybe seeing it in contrast to how the '1 day ago' and '2 days ago' look would help us vote?

Okay. I've updated the image.
