An interesting point noticed. Amnestria Elyphara has a possible chance of ID'ing Morton Canith. Both are raised in Gorna. Morton can change his color of hair & other stuff but not his basic face.

If there’s a window upstairs, perhaps Berthold should shove the zombie out of it, and down to the ground? That would involve coordination with Amnestria, who’d have to open the window, and get out of the way so Berthold could bull-rush the zombie out the window…

Sounds like a strategy, or am I just delirious from all the pounding Berthold received?

The window is already open. Amnestria did so at the beginning of the battle so she could throw a Light-infused coin outside and Grallaria could take flight. She would just have to get out of the way, or assist Berthold is pulling the zombie through the window.

Let me know if you still want Kazzak to Disengage then lock the door.

I will lead the two zombies into the dim for about 100 yds before I double back.

It maybe best, as you may have another zombie dropping from the roof on Kazzak πŸ˜‚

I’ve heard of a "dead drop," but that is ridiculous. πŸ™‚

That's a great image! I know you were just making a joke, but just so nobody gets confused, I'll remind everyone that Amnestria and Berthold are fighting Don at the second-floor window overlooking the front of the house (the west side, with the front door, the wagon, the Lit coin, and Fern trying to save Sora from dying). Kazzak and Antonius are at the back of the house (the east side, with the back/kitchen door, the well and the fields, Morton in the crops, and the zombie Dean).

@spaceseeker19 So how far do I have to go into the Dim to lead them away and they keep going? I just want to get them away from us. If that isn't an option I will probably move a safe enough distance to get a shots off.

The most certain way is to lead them into the Forest and then double back when they can't detect Dell any more. If, at the end of Dell's turn, he is more than 100' away from them, they won't be able to detect him even if they happen to move and Dash in his direction (they have a speed of 20, so can move a max of 40' on their turns, and can sense creatures within 60'). Of course, you could lead them a ways and then circle back without completing losing them to buy everybody a couple of rounds, maybe hit them with a couple of arrows in the process, if that seems like it will take too long.

@spaceseeker19 So I could move and dash (90') three turns and be far enough away from them To circle back without being detected? If 90' is correct.

As a human, Dell's speed is 30, which means a potential for 60' of movement (Move and Action: Dash) each round. Once he advances in level and gains the Cunning Action ability, he would be able to Dash again as a bonus action, thus making movement of 90' possible. But for now if he's using his whole turn to move, it's 60' like anybody else with a base speed of 30.

@spaceseeker19 Gotcha, I thought when said move/dash it was move and dash. I thought it was a bit much. But Dell wants nothing to do with fighting these zombies. They dealt way to much damage to one of the ones chasing him. So 4 dash turns would get me far enough away from them to double without them detecting me?

If Morton makes a move & dash toward the barn doors that would be 70'. What/who would Morton be seeing while doing this? Trying place and put this all together. Obviously, he would be leaving the field.

Happy Independence Day to those of you in the United States!

To answer that question, I'm going to assume that you want Morton to go to the southern barn doors, rather than the northern ones. His first move will bring him out of the field near Dean the zombie, but there are no non-zombies in view. Morton watched first Antonius (round seven) and Kazzak (beginning of round eight) leave and disappear inside the farmhouse. The interior of the farmhouse is completely obscured by fog. When Morton takes his Action to Dash around the farmhouse, he will arrive at the southeast corner of the barn. At that point, he'll be able to see Antonius kneeling over Sora, 10' further away.

Of course, this is based on where people are at the start of round eight; it's possible that Sora, Amnestria, and/or Antonius will change position before Morton's turn.

GM: If I'm correct Morton is now like 0' to 10' range from the open doors after the sprinting of 70' to the barn after leaving the field area, but not close enough to the barn doors to see into the barn in search of Sara. Did Morton arrive in the area soon enough to view Antonius pick up Sara from the front of the barn and head/disappear into the fogged farmhouse area? I'm unsure of the timing as to what Morton actually sees.

Sorry for the two-day delay, everyone. I found myself unexpectedly busy with helping pack for a move, and wasn't able to get back to a computer for gaming until late last night.

All good πŸ‘πŸ», are you moving or helping a friend?

Me thinks Fern isn't surviving. Sniff sniff. Not on the initiative list!
