If Ember survives this, she will certainly stay with Aanbo, regardless of whether he presses forward or not. She wants to save her companions, but knows that if she and Aanbo fall, everyone will die. Better to go down fighting.

So there is still a remote possibility that one of the three dying characters - Aanbo, Chase, Ember - may roll another crit death save and come awake with 1 HP.

But you might want to consider the other possibility: that this will be a defeat of the entire party. If you want to continue, you can roll up another L1 PC that will join a party of Dungeon Busters that Olpert has sent to Orlane (post rolls to the character generation thread as usual). The new party will arrive within a day of this party being defeated.

If you don't want to continue, I understand.

I'll keep a backup character in mind, but I won't do anything about it until I know for sure that Aanbo has perished!

It probably is not a bad thing to think about, will roll some dice and have a think about who is next.

I should have had spaceseeker roll my death save. Hahaha I will also wait just in case I have become a little attached to Chase.

I was waiting for confirmation that Myrtha is dead, or retired from play, before rolling a new PC.

I thought the cult might have a use for our characters, alive. But if you’re telling us that unless a miracle intervenes, Myrtha is out of play, I’ll start working on her replacement.

This will have been my first TPK on GP, for what it’s worth. Old-school adventures are brutal, I was still playing this with a 5ed mindset…

I'm holding out for a miracle save (or that the cult will find us useful and bring us back from the brink), so I'll not roll just yet, but I am up for a retry if necessary.

I am attached to my character too, but I am willing to roll a new character if needed.

We could end up guarding a corridor 💀

There is one more task for you all before you decide whether to make new characters: rolling saves as described in Chapter 3.6: Interlude.

I have the beginning of a concept of a character. I’m going to roll stats just to consider my options.
