Accessing from Belgium, no problems here.

Yeah, it shouldn't affect any of us not in the UK; it's the result of some new content restriction laws that went into effect on 1 January 2026. If no one here is in the UK, I can continue posting images the way I have been.

Is the light on Arya’s shield considered "radiant light"? If so, would damage from being hit with the shield count as "radiant damage"?

No. It's just illumination, per the Light spell.

OOC:
1d8 bludgeoning damage, which— if these are standard skeletons — should be doubled because they are supposed to be vulnerable to bludgeoning damage.
I hope so. Be nice if the force damage from Eldritch Blast was doubled too.

@matmaisan do you have second wind?
Feb 4, 2026 3:58 pm
Nope, I used it during the fight with the monks @mathias0077, and we haven’t had a short rest since…

I should've asked if anyone had a spare ranged weapon before we attacked.

Just letting you know that I may be slow to post (or may miss posts) this weekend (Friday - Monday), as once again I am attending the longest-running RPG convention in North America, DunDraCon. I may be able to post briefly on those days, but I can't guarantee it. I should be back on my regular posting starting Tuesday.

Have fun mate and I hope you have a great weekend!

Enjoy!

I hope the convention is everything you want it to be!

Is Morton trying to move out of the temple complex by himself, hauling Arya’s dead body with him? If so, has he made his plan clear to the rest of the party?

I mean, I’m not here to judge but in Myrtha’s eyes this would sound both suicidal to Morton (when he tried to leave with a healthy Arya, random encounters stopped him) and endangering to the rest of the party (to leave, Morton will have to remove all the barricades we’ve set up to avoid village people coming in; and if Morton is then caught by the villagers and reveals our presence, the cultists could encircle the temple and capture/kill us when we try to escape).

If Myrtha was aware that this was Morton’s plan, she might try to talk him out of it. Or at least make sure to close and bar the doors after he’s left…

Yeah, Morton has explicitly stated his intent to the party something like three times now.
But he is having trouble moving her body (see this post), because he can't lift her body by himself without removing her gear and armor.

That’s where my confusion is coming from: Morton has stated three times after the combat that we can’t leave Arya here, and Aanbo has suggested that he, and any others who can’t move onwards retreat to the first floor and wait for us.

So in Myrtha’s mind it is obvious that we aren’t leaving without her body, but that we must deal with the head priestess first.

What I don’t see in Morton’s word is any suggestion that he intends to leave the temple with Arya’s body, on his own, and immediately. That, in Myrtha’s mind, is the thinking of a person in shock: and the gods know that Morton has seen enough this day to be in shock. But to her martially-minded thinking he can’t be allowed jeopardise the party’s sliver of a chance of stepping out of Orlane alive later on today.

Yep, that is why we suggested he go back to the dinning room or study. He can barricade the door there. We surely don't want him opening the front door. They will not survive a trip back to Hochoch. What is the likely hood that Arya would be raised as undead? The necromancer would have to be present wouldn't they?
