@WhtKnt - comments on Sora...
WhtKnt says:
Sora has been submitted. I still need to get her avatar up because, for whatever reason, the system is not accepting the one I have selected.
I've noted that Sora is a Hill Dwarf, added her HP (12), corrected her Speed (25), gave her Inspiration, noted her saving throw proficiencies (STR and DEX), and added the darts that she gets by default as a monk.

In addition to the profile picture, there are a few things you need to choose to complete Sora:
- which pack she is starting with: dungeoneer's or explorer's?
- her Personality traits, Ideal, Bond, and Flaw (though it sounds like the bond would be related to the Earthshaker Abbey)
- her trinket
I think she's fixed, now.

I’ve tried to submit Berthold, but it doesn’t seem to work. Must I withdraw Myrtha first? His background isn’t finished yet. Sorry to say I won’t have a lot of time to post tomorrow…

I believe you have submitted the character sheet. I think the Game Details page doesn't automatically refresh after your submission, leading to you think nothing happened.

Yep, I see Berthold

As I review the characters, I'll also point out that most of the sheets are missing a place for tracking XP. By long tradition, I like to have that by the character's level, HP, and AC, but of course you can put it wherever it makes sense for you.

Opps. put mine with class

@Mathfuric - notes on Antonius Block:

Some comments/missing items:

1) Perception is not an available skill proficiency for a cleric/city watch character. City Watch background gives Athletics and Insight, and Cleric gives Medicine. Choose the other from: History, Persuasion, or Religion
Mathfuric says:
I need a little help with languages, he has four spots to fill. Thinking all three common human languages and one other maybe something darker.
2. For two, I recommend Keolish (the rustic language common to the Duchy and other vassal states of the kingdom) and Imperial (the dead language of scholars and traders that is spoken far more widely). A third language might be Baklunish (a trade language spoken by visitors from the east), which would make sense for a cosmopolitan citizen of Niole Dra. For a "darker" fourth language, Antonius might speak the Pomarj dialect of orcish. While Keoland has long been engaged in hostilities with the nearby humanoid-occupied lands of the Pomarj, that land is close enough that a guard may have had to become conversant in order to interrogate spies, confront immigrants, and assist refugees.

3. I've already mentioned adding a place to note current experience points. The personal items seem fine (I like the switch from a horn to s whistle), and seem to imply that you've chosen the priest's pack. Is that correct? Is one of those items Antonius' trinket?

4. Background: It's fine to have an old notebook that Special Investigator Eugenios passed down to you, but your background should be clear: the new party is starting out very shortly after the last party left, not months later. That means that Antonius left far before Eugenios arrived in Orlane, and so Antonius has come to the region for some other reason than investigating what happened to Eugenios (though that is something that Olpert will be sending the group to investigate).

@spaceseeker19

Thank you for the advice, especially the languages as I like the Orcish one very cool.

I have changed perception to persuasion.

Yes took the Priest pack. The grave-shroud cloth square could be his trinket, I just added this for flavour and thought it cool.

I will adjust the back story 👍🏻 I like the link to Eugenios, so maybe he was sickened by the treatment of Eugenios and came looking for him as a friend, maybe the church sent him there upon request for assistance and he took the opportunity to hopefully catch up with his friend.

Just to confirm, I do see Berthold, but I haven't commented yet because even though you've submitted him, it sounds like you haven't finished him yet. Do you want feedback on what you have so far?

@spaceseeker19, do you use the rules for "Tools and Skills Together" from Xanathar’s Guide?
Mar 3, 2026 9:56 am
Motivation roll = Compulsion

@spaceseeker19
I have added "the Dream" to Antonius’s Character Sheet.

No, my attitude is that the use of tools enables actions that you couldn't take otherwise, rather than just making you better at things you could do anyway. Some examples: using brewer's tools, a person can craft beer, but that can't happen without those tools. Using thieves' tools, a person can pick a lock, which can't happen without them. Using a chess set, you can play chess, but without the chess set, you can't. Using a healer's kit, you can regain hit points with hit dice, but you can't without one.

I've added a field for XP right underneath Level on my sheet. For a trinket, I rolled up a mummified goblin hand; still trying to figure out a backstory for that, but I believe I will lump that into the background equipment letter from a dead colleague. So basically the letter reads, "What's the deal with this mummified goblin hand?"

Also added a section for a familiar, Grallaria the fey burrowing owl. This assumes Amnestria was able to cast Find Familiar before her adventure began.

I've got a busy day today, but I will do a final review and approve characters by the end of the day. So far I've got four characters: Sora, Dell, Antonius, and Amnestria, with a fifth, Berthold, probably ready soon.

My intent is to have the party meet/form up in Hochoch on Day 26, then set out for Orlane on the morning of Day 27, so that the soonest they would arrive in Orlane would be the evening of Day 28 (when the previous party was defeated that morning). How does that sound?
Mar 3, 2026 9:39 pm
Sounds good to me. Dell is itching to find his brother.
Mar 3, 2026 10:00 pm
Sounds good. My internet was wonky yesterday and earlier today, thanks to a malfunctioning modem. I'll submit my unfinished character today.

I was trying to come up with a good background for a miner and found this: Miner. I like the skills and tools proficiencies. @spaceseeker19, what do you think?

Yes, that's fine. The canary could be a fun role-play shtick.

A dicey beginning …
Also, may I point out how much I enjoy the unlikely results of the ability score rolls for Kazzak? I mean, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15? Come on!

You and me both! I hope that means fate has something good in store for him.

A few more rolls ...

So height and weight are 4', 6" and ((6x4) + 130 = 154) lbs respectively.

The trinket is a square of ironsilk sewn by the geargrubs of ancient Siclari.

Rolls

Height (additional inches) - (2d4)

(42) = 6

Weight (additional pounds) - (2d6)

(31) = 4

Trinket - (1d1200)

(31) = 31

I've approved Berthold. I know that there are more details to work out - like the names/descriptions of the retainers - but we can work out those details in parallel with character introductions/travel sequences.

Note that I've added a checkbox to indicate whether Healing Hands has been used or not, and a count of the Lay on Hands he still has available. The default GP 5e character sheet doesn't allow for editable fields, so you'll need to edit the sheet to change that value, just like you would with HP. The checkbox should work normally, however.
