@Mathfuric, this is bizarre. I was just about to submit my character and he is a halfling bard (a class I’ve never played either). I’m fine with picking something else if you really want a bard.

@rpgventurer - I've approved Ferranzo Goosehill. Some follow-up details/questions:

- Please make the character public.
- Which language are you selecting as "Common" - Keolish, Marchian, or Imperial? Keolish would make sense if the character is a local to Orlane. But that leads me to my next question:
- Is Ferranzo from Orlane? We know that Lindun died in Orlane, but did Ferranzo live with/study under Lindun in Orlane?
- How long was Lindun in Orlane before he died? Was he visiting, traveling through Orlane, had he moved to Orlane, or had he always lived in Orlane?
- Does Ferranzo know that Lindun is dead, or has he come back to Orlane not knowing what's happened?

Also, @Mathfuric - there is NO problem with having more than one halfling bard in the party!

Filling in the background:
- Lindun is a recent settler in Orlane. He moved there a few years ago to find work as a musician, a decision brought on by the sudden natural death of his wife.
- Ferranzo lives in the town from which Lindun moved.
- Ferranzo doesn’t know that Lindun is dead, just missing.
- A traveling merchant, Duric, friend to both Ferranzo and Lindun, passed occasional correspondence between them. He was the one who informed Ferranzo of Lindun’s disappearance.

Is there another settlement in the area besides Hochoch that has trainers for leveling up?

You can choose a town or village in Greyhawk (as some players have done) or you can invent one of your own (as other players have done); either works.
I like it! You've come, tired from the trip, and find the village much more chaotic and paranoid than you remember. Why? Where is Lindun?
Not that anyone has encountered in the game, no, though Lyrel has discovered that one of the residents in Orlane is a class trainer. There may be others in the village, though Orlane is much smaller than the town of Hochoch. There's also the major metropolis of Hookhill, a similar distance from Orlane in the opposite direction (east) from Hochoch. It's the capitol city of Gran March, a completely different country (and there's a border to cross to reach it, though traffic from Orlane has dried up recently and the guards might be a bit lax from inactivity).

So I am going for the second class I have never really played and have wanted to . . .

Ferranzo speaks Keolish as his common tongue.

The home village of Ferranzo and Lindun is called "Glaive’s Point" and is located along the river about six miles southwest of Hochoch.

Note: Since we’re in the World of Greyhawk, I made up a village name with two things Gygax liked: a pole arm and a pun.

Aside from those comments, we need to determine how/why Eugenios is in Orlane now. Do you have ideas on that front, or would you like to hear some?
