I'm hitting a bunch of UX issues as I'm building out new features on v2 and am looking for advice. If you are or know a UX developer who wants to consult, I'm happy to discuss rates. If you just want to give thoughts (as a professional or just on what you think may look good), please do.
How characters works is clearly evolving from the current setup. The character sheet builder could be a big feature for GP, and I'm struggling a bit on how to get things laid out and easy to get to. Here's how the v2 character page is currently looking, largely the same as the v1 character page.
The issue is the character sheet system. You can see a link at the bottom, only because I don't know where else to place it. I could add a new link to the header, but I don't think that's the right move. I don't want to add 3 new sections to the character page for sheets (My sheets, library sheets, create new sheet). What I am thinking, at least, is to collapse "My Characters" and "Library Favorites" into one large list of characters, with markings to differentiate library favorites.
So how do we get to the Sheets page? I'm removing the dropdowns with a few characters and games in the header; since the site will be an SPA, getting to characters will be much faster. So we could have a dropdown with "My Characters", "Character Library", "My Sheets", "Sheet Library". We could also have links somehwere on the character page?
Anyway, this is just one of the issues I'm currently trying to figure out. I appreciate any feedback.
