The Mutant Epoch™ post-apocalyptic RPG challenges your in-game persona to survive in an age of rediscovery, high adventure, savage conflict, and freakish mutants and machines. Characters work in small excavation teams making forays into ruined cities, through junk-strewn wastelands, twisted forests, nightmarish swamps, and across polluted seas. During their expeditions they must contend with mutant beasts, the environment, as well as raiders, cultists, and robotic forces, only to stake their place in the newly emerging barter forts and factional bastions of humanity.

Players can take on the roles of pure stocks, mutants, ghost mutants, cyborgs, bestial humans and an assortment of synthetic or engineered humans.
I am a long-time admirer of The Mutant Epoch, having purchased every book released that I can afford or find. It's old-school post-apocalyptic adventuring at its finest - though I recognise that that's a very subjective opinion.

Despite my appreciation for the game, I have never had a chance to run or play it, since my usual TTRPG group are diehard D&D advocates, and most people I know online or offline are unfamiliar with the game.

While I'm not expecting to find many on here who might be familiar with the game, and who might be craving a description- and RP-heavy game, I figure that I might as well ask.

Have you ever heard of TME? Have you ever played it? Would a game of it on here interest you?

After a little bit a reading this is a similar world to Gamma World, great game in itself, and has a wonderful range of character possibilities and fun.

I have enjoyed reading the reviews and articles on it, and would be interested in a game if you get enough interest to make one 😁

Popping in just to say it's rare to hear someone else remembering The Mutant Epoch! Totally a product of its time, with its era of system crunchiness and its attempt to fill the post-apoc gap then. Have fun with it!

Thanks for the feedback! It's definitely a game I want to try my hand with.
