This is an INTEREST CHECK: Pathfinder 2e either beginning at Level 1 or Level 4.

Just post your interest and beginning level preference.

I'd be interested with a 4th level start.

I have played enough 1st level PF2 characters. I would like to start at level 4, to explore more of their capabilities.

But tell a bit more about what kind of game you are contemplating running.

Hey @Toob, did you have any ideas of what kind of PF2e game you wanted to run?

I'm certainly up for some more Pathfinder 2e. Any level is good.

I was thinking of starting off at Level 4 as our research we did resulted that players preferred a higher starting level than Level 1. At least then, characters have a lot that they can tap into and it might widen play a bit more both creatively and spontaneously.

However, in Pathfinder I have found that players don't always use their myriad of feats, skills and abilities to their fullest effect and so miss all sorts of opportunities. I don't know whether that is the nature of PBP or just not knowing what to use. In most situations, as a player, I scan my character sheet top to bottom to see what works most effectively for me and then the party. Oops! Too obvious that I like to play rogues? LOLL!

I'll give you that the slow pace of PBP and the many abilities and notes you have on a PF2e character, makes it possible to overlook the right ability at the right moment.
That is why I have made an effort to high light what abilities are actionable on my PF2e character sheets.

@runekyndig Thats great work!

I was wondering how it could be a oner pager, a bit like this character sheet. Yes, it is a Starfinder 2e Character Sheet however, a Pathfinder one would be good to have. Sorry but it is in Portrait, but in Landscape form.

With the GP chactersheet there is room to expand every feature. I feel its to easy to forget something about your skills/features/abilities if you have to look them up elsewhere. On one-page sheets there are no room to add all the references.

Also its make it easy the drop down a reference into your post with the relevant spell/feature

Here is a link to the full character sheet

I would modify such a character sheet for Starfinder 2e once I get into such a game

Sometimes it's a matter of timing. In PbP if the game is moving too fast (lol) You're feeling the push to catch up. Some classes are also worse than others, example Investigator, but anyone with a bunch of reactions or pseudo-reactions also has the issue.

@runekyndig Nicely done!

@ToDream Yes! Good point there too!

If I’m not too late as a fourth, kindly posting my interest. Level 4 would be great.
Sorry, I should rescind that. Seems I’m getting into another game soon already, not wanting to overload. Someone else can have this spot. Have a great game, all!
Cheers.

How much should I retrain myself?
I have a character concept in my head for a PF2e character that I want to develop, but only if there is a game for it.
The Animist class + Elf ancestry + John Constantine + A fondness for food + Makes ill-advised choices
I don't know precisely how these fits together, but they are orbiting each other when I'm doing laundry or other menial tasks.

@runekyndig That's a very interesting character. Tempted to create a Campaign just to see what happens! LOL!

Well, we almost have a party! There's Knighthawke, ToDream, and runekyndig. So we have three I guess. Not quite enough yet!
