What is your general concept and narrative description?
With the rise of the new Autarch and his attempts to purge those aristocrats disloyal to him, there inevitably rise those who do his bidding and take up the bloodied estates and responsibilities of former occupants, now rather forcibly deposed. Shadow Under Steel's Edge's family, therefore, is one of recent prominence from military merits both clear and unclear. While his father acted courageously as a minor general under the Autarch's leadership, a good deal of sitting officials remain skeptical about the true merit of such small valors.
Perhaps it is of little coincidence that the father, and indeed the family at large, has since passed into the purview of Autarchy Military Intelligence.

What is your family and background?
While technically speaking, his family can be considered one of a recent cohort of "new" nobility, freshly arisen from the gaping power vacuums which inevitably open in the wake of dissident purges, distribution of meritorious service, and new unprecedented prosperity through relaxing trade troubles, few within Smithland truly consider his family to be nobility, and fewer still harbor any kind of hope that their titles and estate are in any way hereditary should they prove to be lacking in either loyalty or ability to their Autarch.
Disliked by the old nobles for being an active symptom of their declining influence, avoided by the commoners who are uncertain of the length or benefit of their reign, favored by their Autarch only as far as their accomplishments can reach, it can be said that their position is rather precarious, and this may very well be intentional on the Autarch's part, to foster a sense of urgency amongst his subjects so that they may strive for greater heights, lest they lose what they now possess.

The temporary favor of the Autarch to his family has yielded him this opportunity.
What career do you plan after graduation?
Any which will advance his ultimate goal, of plotting to eventually allow a new wave of military conquest throughout Smithland's neighboring states, allowing his family and nation to cement itself in the world proper.

Hatambetl and Firefriend - Fluency.

Despite his plans which may very well wipe his friend's family from the map, he has to admit that Danikle is difficult to dislike. And under the assumed pretense of learning about one's adversary, he has been deepening his connection with him, perhaps more for personal enjoyment than necessity.
For hooks to others, naturally, the fact that he's a figure of some controversy could work, along with his scheme to eventually uproot the order of peace in his country.
What's your excuse for an 'emergency exit' if necessitated by OOC events?
His family's position is hardly solid, and predicated on a good deal of necessary, unpleasant actions. Family matters pulling him away is the most likely, and of a rather urgent strain.
