I'm Joseph, I've been running games for a while, but due to IRL complications I've been unable to GM a game for a long while due reasons people can probably guess, an endless stream of scheduling conflicts. Last three games I've have ended due to players being unable to attend or their situations changing. I've always loved writing and reading stories, and have always had a passing interest in PBP I've wanted to try.

I mainly love running horror games such as Call Of Cthulhu or historical games with GURPS using one of their amazing history sourcebooks. Anyone's welcome to join whatever game I decide to run. For my first game I've decided to run a Call Of Cthulhu "short" oneshot to test out the PBP format and for me to get used running the system using the site's built in characters sheets and tools.

I look forward to getting know all of you and hopefully telling some thrilling and scary stories.

(It's only afterwards I realize I misspelt Joseph on my username, I swear I usually proofread the things I write. Oh well, it happens when you make your account late at night.)

Hi Joseph, welcome to the GP community! Lots of love for CoC here so you should have no trouble filling a game. There are a few GURPS fans as well, though those games are certainly rarer...

Send a PM to Keleth the site owner, or an email (see the Contact Us link below) and he can adjust that for you.

Also, welcome!

Welcome Aboard!

Honing writing skills and story-crafting is one of the real highlights of the PbP format! GP is pretty easy to use and there's a series of YouTube videos in the finer points, tips & tricks by Qralloq (in the list of helpful links provided by Dr_B , above).
CoC is a popular system with plenty of interest on GP. GURPS doesn't get played often enough, imo, but more for a lack of GMs than lack of interest...

Welcome from a fellow keeper. I run a lot of COC here including bi monthly one shots for newbies, so happy to see another keeper!

Thanks for the warm welcome, my preferred style is to mix in official modules (albeit heavily modified) in with my own original scenarios, so I'll probably ask anyone playing in the campaign I'll host after my one-shot if they've already been ran through any modules, just so I can avoid running them through a module and have a awkward moment when a player recognizes a specific character or plot.

GMing for Newbies, especially with Call Of Cthulhu, is probably one of my favorite things to do. It's really fun watching people who actually are ignorant about the truth of the Mythos and its horrors slowly getting more and more exposed to it.

Welcome! PbP is really great for solving the real-life scheduling headaches, once you get used to the format. I've also taken the liberty to message the site owner Keleth, to see about correcting that misspelling, if you prefer.

Thanks for the thought, I really appreciate it, but the spelling has sort of grown on me if that makes sense. I mean, it's technically still pronounced as Joseph, at least I think it is. But again, thanks a lot for the thought though.

I'm pretty sure it's "Hospe", but it sounds more fun.
