For simplicity during the game you can consult this "decision map" to find the next step or rules (hopefully) more easily,
But don't worry too much, I'll introduce them as well need 👌

1) An action is declared: simple, group effort or opposed

* The player plays a card. Usually draw from the deck, but can use and Edge
* Check the value and suit of the card: Value (1-10), Face (+1,+2,+3, stack), Joker (fail + edge), or Trump
* Add skill value + half of stat + modifiers (help, consequences) to get the final action results
* Compare to target value or opposed effort.

2) The consequence of the action is applied:

* In case of damage, the consequence is a Wound.
* Damage depends on the card suit and have a value and a severity.
* The value is compared to DR to reduce severity and to ST to increase severity.
* If the sum of all wounds is the same as the Wound Threshold, the character enters their dying gasps. Don't underestimate this!

3) Combat is a little special
