If you have not submitted a character, please do so soon. I have approved characters officially submitted by Emberskyes, Mephistophilis, Muns, Pedrop and PlebeianG.

In addition, I have tentatively approved characters from dabaggins and Jomsviking pending actual submission.

I have a Character Concept from Honor_Over_All.

Over the next week, I will be PMing each of you with specific information for your character to bring everyone together for Session 0 which is just over 2 weeks away!

Thank you for your attention!

Traveling to help my father-in-law through tomorrow. I should be able to have a character ready Monday or Tuesday.

No problem! Thanks for letting me know. Family always comes first.

You can afford to travel in this economy? Gas is 2.10$ a litre here.

Not quite as bad here as it's "only" $1.64 / litre though I have little doubt that will not go up as things continue. Fortunately, I work from home (currently - may/likely change 'soon') so I've been able to avoid at least this part of prices rising.

My car is a company vehicle so I just look shocked when 1/2 tank of gas is 110$…

$4.89/gallon here, and I am a courier.

Diesel is $4.69 a gal here in KCMO unless you get it as COSTCO which is $4.39 a gal (~$1.16 per liter.).....

Gas is anywhere between $3.29 to $3.85 a gal around here, but the bad roads in MO are a result :-p

Paid $4.79/gal for premium here in Colorado Springs...think I paid same in Virginia last week. At least no long TSA lines in Denver or Regan during our trip

A question on

S.T.E.A.L.ing

A guitar is called an axe, an axe is a heavy weapon. Can Rooster S.T.E.A.L. hearts and minds by busking?

The Pig is very hungry.

Let me see if I understand what you are saying… you want to "Strategically Transfer Equipment (the aforementioned hearts and minds) to Alternate Locations by street performing with an axe… à la the "Heart Snatcher" from Ungentlemanly Warfare?

I don't know what that is.

Essentially I picture this. Some massive American machine gunner with a guitar and a local kid playing drums rocks the socks off everyone who can hear it.

There's a cardboard box with a sign that says "Feed the Pig" an M60 is crudely drawn in it in grease pen. Massive American machine gunner introduces locals and other USGIs to the most American thing there is Grunge music.

They if reacting positive to it, give stuff which can be used to buy ammo. If he succeeds well, he gets a belt of ammo for the pig. If failed they just think he's another American asshole. If he fails really badly he gets bottles thrown at him and run out of town.

Ahhh, ok. So for real performance. What I was referring to was the movie, "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" with Alan Ritchson.

You mean Henry Cavil.

Full disclosure, the last new movie I saw was John Wick 4. I do not even own a television. I am not a pop culture guy. I am not even a popular one.

Yes a real performer. Trying to do his part to help his fire team/squad survive til the next session of R&R.

well yes, he was in it, but the 6’5" Alan Ritchson kinda stole the show as Anders Lassen!

I’m pretty sure Henry Cavil stole the show… lol I like Alan’s character too, it was a fun movie.

Don’t let the fact it’s a Guy Ritchey film throw you. There is quite a bit of actual historical accuracy going on in the movie. I like to say of films like this that they are not exactly as happened because if they were, you’d still not believe it. When it comes to the actual Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, this becomes true in the extreme. It’s definitely worth a watch.

No, Gus just stole everything else. Lol

I mean its not that I hate on it. I just simply do not have hours of time to devote to anything but work or training.

A note on Alan Ritchson.

Alan Ritchson is only 6'3" I would stake my left hand on that. 6'3" and 240lbs is still a huge guy but they use a lot of cheating angles to make him look bigger via forced perspective. Hollywood being what it is. They make the stars larger than life. They did the same thing with Armie Hammer billing him as 6'5" 230lbs but he's only 6'3" 210lbs.

Target audience and whatnot.

I won’t argue here. I was going by information I saw a year or so ago regarding the fact that he’s not as tall as the Reacher character is in the books (6’10"). Having had a football coach who is every bit of 6’10" and about 240, I could tell Ritchson wasn’t that tall. My recollection was that he was almost half a foot shorter. If you think he’s 6’3", I’ll just go with it.

That said, suspension of disbelief is critical to enjoy fiction. Entertainment is a strong gateway to Jungian individuation. I am big into Jungian psychology and Gnosticism. This game is going to be fun.

Who wants to be the battle buddy with the psychokiller machine gunner?

We have definitely moved from Character Submission Thread and into an OCC Thread... LOL!
Apr 1, 2026 11:46 pm
This is true. And now that I have all submissions in, I’ll be doing two things. First, I will create a true OOC Thread. Then I will lock this thread, as it has served its purpose.
