We're looking for one, possibly two, more players in a game that is only barely off ground. That means there's nothing for you to catch up on! Here's the pitch:
In a world almost like ours, the Great War dragged on an extra decade before an armistice was signed by a world full of war-weary nations. Never again would war be waged on the level it had been. Armies were drawn down. Nuclear weapons were forbidden. None of that stopped the rivalry between nations, it just stopped outright conflict. Now, the battle between east and west is played out in the backstreets and backrooms, hidden in the shadows with deniability always an option.
You're a new student at Académie Lumière Helvétique, Europa's premiere finishing school. It attracts the rich and famous from around the world. But it serves another purpose as well, one that not even all of it's students of staff know about. It is also known as the world's premiere spy school. This is the program you've been inducted into.
There's a sort of anime bent to the game, influenced primarily by things like (to various degrees and for different purposes) Spy x Family, Spy Classroom, Princess Principal, Joker Game.
The game takes place in an alternate world for a couple reasons: 1) There's enough prejudices and injustice in the real world, and we'd rather not have to carry that baggage with us to a game where we should be having fun. 2) I'm not stupid at geography or history, but I don't want to have to look stuff up every time I make a post, so we're using fictional nations that can be similar to real-world ones without needing to know geopolitical timelines and factbooks.
If you're not familiar with OVA, I can help walk you through character creation, but the rules are pretty simple. If you are familiar, we're using the revised edition. You'll probably want to select one or two knowledge areas that are academic, so that your character can contribute to those classes. If we need a basic list, they'd probably be Mathematics, Languages, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, Music/Art, Physical Education. You'll also want to select an area or two of expertise for the mission itself (Infiltration/Stealth, Security/Sabotage, Muscle/Firearms, Exfil/Vehicles). Some of these are already taken, so you'll want to discuss with the existing players how best to mesh. Aside from that, concepts are pretty open.
If you're interested, please use this link to join the OOC discord to discuss things more with the players and I. Just say you're there for the Academy.
I will post again when slots are full.
