Duke Xian Yu Han has stepped into the role of clan leader for the XIAN Clan (PC's clan), the Xian clan enjoys the largest volume of land and number of family groups in all of Shou Lung. Controlling the vast wilderness of the Aman Basin offers endless opportunities of wealth, with the incredible obstacle of extracting the bountiful resources through treacherous forests, swamps, and mountains.
The daily struggles through this wilderness have created a hardy people capable of enduring through harsh conditions. When the provinces of Tu' Lung revolted fifteen years ago supported by the Wa monarchy, it was the Xian clan armies that defeated the rebellion and reunited Shou Lung.
Recently Emperor Kai Tsao Shou Chin decreed the Gathering of the Pearls policy which introduced the ministries of science and alchemy with full government status and made government exams available to the common classes. This decision angered the Ministry of Magic and led the Council of Mages to abandon their duties. With the winds of Shou Lung blowing colder, Kai Tsao Shou Chin demanded clans awarded with lands around the capital to secure their estates and build defenses.
Players are cousins within the Xian clan (Several family connections), They are young but have proven competent so far. PCs are sent to the new clan estate in Taoyuan along the western limits of the capital.
Missions: Early missions will involve helping/ establishing the clan on the estate, representing the families in the Imperial court, and dealing with various conflicts in the Wang Kuo district (Capital District).
The group reported to the clan leader in the city of Kangste before proceeding. It took 10 days traveling the spice road to reach the capital city. Passing through Tao Yaun Estates was disappointing, but presented opportunities for the clan with spice road passing through.
