Looking around the room,
Berith finds herself in a cave of some kind with natural stone walls. It has obviously been opened up to form a squarish space about 25-30 feet across. Most of the room is occupied by a wide deep depression in which she sits, along with the remains of other who must have fallen through. There are at least four skeletons in various states of dissarray around her and she seems to be laying on another. They haven't moved since she's come to.
The sound reverberates through her skull, making is hard to concentrate. The chittering, babble is coming from the only exit she can see from this space, a 20' opening leading out somewhere but her light doesn't extend far enough to illuminate more than just the entrance. You KNOW something is there in the darkness. You can feel it. And you can feel the terror of the lamb when it hears the wolf prowling in the brush rising within you.
Something viscous and black oozes into sight. It thinkens and grows into a flexing tentacle which extends back into the dark. It noses about in the air questingly, and after a moment splits appear across it's surface to reveal many small yammering mouths and crazed eyes which fix their gaze upon you.
Berith sits in a depression about 5' deep. There are several skeletons and rock around. The ground is relatively soft, covered in a layer of crushed rock and sand which seems to have cushioned her impact. From the size of the "tentacle" she guesses that she's in really dire straights.
