Hey there folks. I hope you're all doing well this fine weekend evening/morning. I’m an old-school TTRPG nerd who spent way too much of the 90s playing D&D Classic (yeah, "B/X" now), AD&D 2e, early D&D 3.5 and several other systems me and my friends could get our hands on.

I’m looking forward to participating in PbP here, depending on which way the dice (or my schedule) wobble. I’m somewhat familiar with the PbP medium—I tried it a few times years ago, and it was a great way to run alongside my imagination.

More recently, my interest in newer systems was resurrected by my son, who decided that rolling dice and slaying the monsters under his bed is now our father–child bonding activity. I fully approve and blame him for dragging me back into this delightful chaos. I'm especially interested in learning SWADE, SWN, or Nimble 5e (highly interested).

I’d love to join a game or two even a solo one or starter if possible. If no one’s available, I can always run a game myself and we can all watch together as I charge happily into inevitable doom as I wipe out on the first curve, again. Cheers!

"Fireball: solving problems since… boom."

I had not heard of Nimble until I joined a game that just started here. So far it translates easily enough.

Have you heard of Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition. It's another 5e variant I've only been able to play once, but enjoyed.

Hey there Psybermagi. I've done a bit of research with Nimbl. I do find the no-Hit rolls and rather streamlined content of Nimble intriguing since at my age (or the state of what's-left-of-my-mind) I prefer something less crunchy. Not much on Level up but I'll look into it. Have a great day and thanks!

Yeah, I am getting more into rules light systems, mostly for less crunch. That what I like about the TinyD6 system. There are others kicking around but that's the one I got into early and have been using since. I enjoy the A5eLU for some of the character creation variations.
