Naercalad will start at F3, his plan to peer slowly around the corner to assess the room and it's obstacles.

Naercalad would use the Parry triggered action whenever possible.

The worn stone steps spiral downward into a wide chamber, its darkness broken by the flickering orange glow of a lone brazier burning at its heart. The light illuminates faded frescoes on the wall that show starving, wounded humans drinking from an ornate silver chalice and turning into powerful, healthy warriors who battle a horde of demons.

Around the edges of the chamber, bedrolls and crude gear litter the floor—signs of a makeshift encampment. And among them, nearly two dozen goblins huddle, ready with their weapons drawn.

Tutorial notes
In this combat, Goblin Snipers and Goblin SpineCleavers are Minions. Minions are enemies designed to die in droves and make heroes feel powerful by cutting through them quickly. They’re most dangerous in numbers — individually weak, but collectively a threat.

Goblin Warriors, on the other hand, are regular monsters (you've encountered their spears before) and are captains of these groups. But now they have access to Malice powered attacks!

Whispering to the others, "Ok, it's going to get busy fast. I'll put out some arrows before Shrike and Obsidian close with the front rank. Malfina, if you can reach out to one of the farther groups to keep them from rushing in. By that point I expect the battle to look completely different, Marbin and Vordokov, you'll have to pick your targets as best as you can."

Naercalad will Mark, C2.a and fire Two Shot. If it hits, his second target will be C2.c. After that, he'll move to H3 to allow the other room to move in.

Marbin darts forward and tosses a dagger at the closest goblin, before darting back out of sight. Then he teleports back to his original position leaving behind a dust of black ash.

Will use my first trigger action to act immediately with Hesitation is Weakness (using the 1 Insight gained from my Victory). Move to G2.

Then use Fade vs C2.a

I dont have a sneaking option, so I am just getting in it.
Shrike is surprised by the hoard for only half a breath, then he is moving. He hits a clump with a flurry of strikes and ducks under a swing of one of the goblins and drives his whole body into it.

Obsidian seeing Shrike charge in will move to to F6 and attack W5.a with his maul(free melee strike)then spin and drive the handle into its gut for a knockback into W1.

Desiring to get in on the fun, Malfina steps forward (to H4) and points a finger at two goblins she sees standing to one side of the fire (C1.c and C1.d) and releases a split gout of flame!
OOC:
Gains 4 Essence (one from Victories, 2 from beginning combat, 1 from first time someone took damage). She moves to H4 and uses Bifurcated Incineration for her Main Action (I need more AoEs!) dealing 4 fire damage to each. She then uses Practical Magic to push C2.b back two squares into the pillar at J11, hopefully hurting him!

Vordokov moves to the end of the passage, against the wall. Looking down into the room, he sees one a more wicked looking goblin than the rest. "If you can, focus on the ones we fought topside. If they fall, the others will follow."

A quick prayer later, "Grole, look after us." he smites that same goblin with holy light.

The goblin warriors bark sharp commands in their harsh tongue, and immediately the archers rush into formation beside them. Eager but clumsy, they draw back their crude bowstrings. The chamber fills with the sound of taut cords snapping forward—arrows streaking through the air as the goblin bowmen unleash a volley aimed at the party.

IF C1.d is still alive after Marbin’s Two Throats attack, Malfina uses her Practical Magic to Knockback C1.d and then hit it with Viscous Flame, pushing it back further, into the fire! Then she steps back to E3.

If C1.d is dead, she steps to G4 and uses Viscous Flame on C1.b, knocking it back into the flame. Then she steps back to E3 and uses her maneuver to do a Recovery.

Marbin, you even had a third knife up your sleeve and were able to kill the entire group of spinecleaver goblins.

Obsidian, the warrior is trying to corner you against the wall. He tries to plunge the tip of the spear into your stomach, but you dodge and the spear catches you in the side.

Obsidian after taking this damage feels the ferocity building. He will take hos great maul and sing it over his head and bring down on the floor and yell"BACK!!!" I will then use catch breath for some healing.

The initiative goes back and forth between groups of Monsters and players. Since everyone except Shrike and Vordokov has acted... All monsters except one must act.

It's not like all the players go, and then all the monsters go.

As the fight rages, Vordokov dips his left hand into a small satchel filled with ink, exclaiming "We shall overcome!". He steps next to Naercalad and slams his staff into the goblin warrior, an odd mix of dark and light transparent matter transferring from one to the other.

The cries of Shrike draw his attention next, seeing him struck through and through. A short prayer of healing and grace is offered.

Moving to G4, using the Drain main action on W4. Then Healing Grace on Shrike. Spending 2 extra piety, for three total Recoveries. I've got 2 Piety left (One extra recovery per) if Shrike or anyone else needs it.

Couldn't find it in the book, but what does the Heal main action actually do? Do I need to use that instead?

Healing might being channeled into Shrike through Vordokov's powers, but still off balance, Shrike hits one of the of the goblins attacking him and slides around their weapons. Pulling the one at the end off balance and knocking it into its allies.
OOC:
Inertial Step 7 damage, spending a Surge for +2 damage for 9 damage to W6b.
Then shift to K7 as thar abilitie's effect. Use Knockback to push W2 5 spaces
(Unless a teammemener can improve that, aka Malfina's triggered Explosion Assistance power.)

Vordokov, force rips from the goblin and flows into Naercalad. After that, rhe warrior’s eyes glaze as the life leaves its body—it collapses, the mark of your god’s judgment killing it.

With their leader gone, the remaining bow-wielding goblin commander snarls and snaps an order, taking control of both archer groups. The scattered minions scramble to reorganize, forming a single squad under their new captain’s command, bows raised and trembling with renewed desperation. The remaining archers fire against Naercalad, Malfina, Obsidian and Vordokov.

The newly crowned goblin captain raises a crooked wand wrapped in sinew and bone, shrieking in a harsh tongue that crackles with malice. Sickly green vapors burst from the ground, spilling outward like a living fog. It rolls across the chamber with unnatural speed, swallowing every corner of the map in swirling toxic haze.

The air turns sharp and bitter—every breath stings. The mist clings to boots and armor, thickening around limbs. For all non-goblins, the ground suddenly feels like wading through sludge—every step a struggle as the entire area becomes difficult terrain.

Then the real menace hits — Poison!

Malfina coughs and tries to shake off the effect of the poison… But it nearly Overwhelms her!

She moves to the doorway into the room and squints through the mist and takes aim at the one generating the poison! She reaches out and flames dance along her arm and concentrate in her open palm, until she forms a fist. When she does so, the enemy Erupts in flame!

move to H3 target W3 (I’m assuming that’s the one with the wand). Spend three Essence to do flesh a crucible roll power roll with one bane. Step back five feet and use a Recovery as a maneuver.

Shrike focuses his attentions on the Goblin innfront of him, hutting it with several lighter blows to get it off guard and then slams it with a kick to its skull. As it falls he slams into the Goblin behind it, ramming it into the wall behind it.

Obsidian, I think you are unable to move this much. The whole room is difficult terrain now (each square costs 2), so, at most, you can move 3 squares (or 6 if you charge or turn your main action into an additional move action)

Naercalad, you were able to hit them (with a bane, but the result was the same Tier). You killed W3

Shrike, you killed both goblins.

Obsidian will move to I8 then charge to I11 and use free melee weapon strike on S3.g then use the handle of the maul for a knockback on the same to knock it back into S3.d.

Obsidian, your maul swings in a brutal arc—one goblin is smashed off its feet and sent hurtling into another. The second is crushed beneath its ally as both bodies crumple to the stone floor, lifeless.

The remaining archers stare up at you, wide-eyed with pure terror. Their bows clatter from trembling hands as they raise them in surrender, shrieking panicked pleas. Then they spin on their heels and bolt for the exits.

Meanwhile, the eerie green mist thins and dissolves.

The chamber is a wreck—torn bedrolls, cracked bones, and scattered trash forming mounds of goblin filth. Nothing here looks like a prison or a pantry… more like a place they collapse after raiding and murdering.
Shrike, you sift quickly through the debris. The wand the goblin captain carried is disappointingly mundane—nothing more than a crude wooden focus for their innate trickery, devoid of magic.

But your search isn’t for nothing. Among the refuse you uncover:

- 3 Healing Potions
- A recipe written in Caelian for crafting Healing Potions (a project source for future brewing — downtime project)
- Enough raw ingredients for 5 additional potions
