Character name links

Hello, I had a quick question about a site feature and I was wondering if I was missing something.

When I look at a game I'm playing in while not logged in, all the character names next to the posts link to the character pages. For example, in , the text "Meilin Shun" is a link to my character of that name. The same is true of all the other posts by other players and their characters. When I'm logged in and viewing the same game, however, the character names do not act as links for any character except my own. Is there a way to fix that? Having the names link to the characters is handy!

If players in a game wish to see each others characters they will share them The game DM, who can see all characters in their game.

To make a character visible to others go to "Characters", find the character you wish to be visible, and select the book icon. Icons that are grey indicate not shared, those that are red are shared.

This is indeed a weird bug. Being a player/user should not prevent one from seeing the links to character sheets, but it does.

• A logged in GM of a game can see the links in their game.
• A not logged in user can see the links (though they can not view the sheet).
• A logged in user does not see links to characters in posts.

Everyone should be able to see the links at the side of posts and click on them to try get to the sheets.
(It might be nice if the system tracked whether we would be allowed to view the contents of the sheet and maybe removed links to sheets we don't have permission for, but that is very much secondary.)

I can not be sure, but I seem to remember being able to follow links to sheets before? Maybe before we got the Characters Menu on the bottom red bar? But since I am mostly a GM, I can not recall if this was so, nor when this might have changed.

I just went to one of my games while logged in and clicked the post character link, and it worked fine. Might be user-specific, or contingent upon other factors. Oh wait, the link is in the avatar, not the name text.

This is not the issue, I can see the other character sheets if I navigate to them directly, or if I click on the avatar links (when they exist).
Yeah the avatar links work fine for me, I'm just curious about the name text.
