Hi everyone!
I am very new to both PBP and RPGs in general. I have played a few D&D and Pathfinder one shots but that is about it for ttrpgs.
I have been interested in playing D&D for quite a while. Unfortunately, it has been hard getting a group of friends together who can commit the time for irl sessions and no one (myself included) seems to want to GM. The thought of playing via webcam with a bunch of people I do not know gives me a lot of anxiety so that is also not really an option for me. So after learning about PBP, I thought it might be a little more my speed at this point in life.
A few things about myself. I love to joke around and have fun but also know there are times where being more serious is important. My free time is mostly spent hanging out with family, playing with our dogs and rats, gardening, watching sports (primarily NFL and NHL), and playing video games. I think rules and structure are important but also believe in the rule of cool.
Anyway, I am excited to give this a go and look forward to getting into some games with you all.
