Hi everyone! I'm Mike. Or you can use my made-up name.
I've been playing RPGs for a long time. I've been GMing almost as long, but mostly because that was the only way to get certain things to the table at all. I have a bit of experience with play-by-post games, but only a bit, and it's been a while.
I'm a big fan of superheroes, especially when they're heroes and not super-mercenaries or super-assassins or super-cynical criminal-murdering vigilantes. But somehow, I also really like cyberpunk -- the lowercase-C overall genre or the uppercase-C specific game.
I'm probably least interested in standard Tolkien-inspired medieval heroic fantasy, whether it's actually D&D or not-technically-D&D-but-let's-be-honest-here-it's-still-basically-D&D, though something a little further afield of, say, the Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance could be right up my alley (Dark Sun and Eberron are both great!).
I'm familiar with a lot of systems and always happy to learn a new one, though for PbP I tend to prefer lighter, more narrative-focused rulesets. For pacing reasons, mostly.
