"Salt binds the soul, foam hides the eye—
Drift into depth where memory dies.
Sing not for breath, but for shape unmade,
Coral remembers all tides obeyed."

The Ichor of Unmaking – Introduction
Saltmarrow has never known war. It knows tide and song, net and bone, wind and reef. It has existed quietly for generations—cradled by the Shimmering Coast, blessed with calm waters, and watched over by its coral rites. But something ancient stirs beneath the bloom of seaweed and memory.

The water tastes different. The dreams come heavier. The reef begins to sing.

Welcome to The Ichor of Unmaking, a sea-bound adventure of unraveling identity, spectral echoes, and dread born not of monsters—but of forgetting. What begins with a quiet village and folk rituals soon gives way to impossible transformations, cultic care, and a creeping entity that doesn’t seek death—it seeks dissolution.

Will you remember who you are when the tide forgets you?

Designed for the Swords & Wizardry system, this adventure features:

• Saltmarrow, a lovingly detailed fishing village full of gentle souls and quiet mysteries.
• The Coral Veil, a benevolent cult whose memory-keeping rituals feed the awakening Bloom.
• Oceanic Hexcrawl across drowned shoals and forgotten trenches.
• Underwater puzzles, spectral glyphs, and memory-based riddles.
• Mother Hush, the sorrow-sheathed entity that watches the waters and tests the worthy.
• The Ichor of Unmaking, a liquid echo of an ancient evil—forgotten until now.

This sea going adventure is intended for use with he Sword & Wizardry Complete Revised ruleset. Characters are expected to be of 1st Level in a party of 4-6 Player Characters.

This will be a play by post, posting daily at your convenience, except Sundays Central Time USA. Looking for 4-6 players interested in a Homebrew Adventure set in a Region known as Morwen's Reach. Much like Blackmarsh or a darker version of Greyhawk, Morwen's Reach is a medieval fantasy a little on the dark fantasy side. There are elemets of Horror. No harming of children or pets, however there are deaths that happen in the game, and perhaps even a PC or three. If you are interested, let me know, and ask any questions.

Oooh!! This looks awesome. I’m interested!

I'm not so happy about puzzles and memory-based riddles as I am about everything else you listed there. If you don't mind my possible inactivity or dumb in character actions during puzzle and riddle solving count me in.

Well, I don't mind, and it's not like I'm a genius! lol! Memory based shouldn't scrare off anyone, so I guess I need to word that a little differently, hehe. I don't think anyone else will mind.

That's 3. Need one more to start up character creation and session zero.

I am interested but I only have S&W Complete not Revised. How different are the rulesets?
Aug 11, 2025 2:13 am
On the player side, they really aren't. Complete Revised was Matt Finch getting the title back under his company, as well as adding some quality of life for GMs.

Yeah, there's some differences that make it play different as well. I had access to an article that listed all the differences, but I have not been to that site for over a year.

It sounds doable from my end, so I'll make my interest official (assuming the GM is fine with it)!

So that's
Drgwen ( hello! )
Phil Ozzy Fer ( nice pun! )
Grey Word
Redrock

Four players. We can start creating characters and do a brief session zero. I'll get the game up today and we can start talking who wants to play what. Backstories are okay, but are limited to 250 words. Roll 4d6, drop the lowest, place them where you will. Max Hit Points at First level. We'll be using the Core Rules and the Book of Options for character classes. No Gnomes, no Stygians. They creep me out. Just saying.
Aug 11, 2025 9:52 pm
Oh, Redrock, use what you have for now unless you prefer a pre-made character. We'll deal with it as we go. Shouldn't be an issue.

The game is up and ready for you to bring your characters to life. I sent the invites. I'll keep this thread open till we get into it or we get 6 players. Yay!
