Itching to play more Shadowdark and this adventure is awesome! Written by William Harshman of Runeforged Tabletop Gaming fame, Against the Cult of the Crimson Hand is a great introductory quest for Shadowdark. I am really excited to run it. Looking for four or five intrepid heroes who would like to delve into the darkness!
Game System
Shadowdark. Here is a LINK to the free Quickstart Guide put out by Kelsey Dionne and The Arcane Library. The Quickstart Guide has everything that a player would need to get up and running in a game of Shadowdark. To simplify things that make this newbie-friendly, we will limit ourselves to just the material released in the main Shadowdark rules book and the first three Cursed Scroll Zines.
The Pitch
Early this morning, cultists of the Crimson Hand raided the nearby village of Hillshire, capturing several villagers before disappearing into the night. Sister Inna, a priestess of St. Terragnis who escaped the attack, hopes to enlist the PCs in rescuing the villagers, especially Father Marcus (a pillar of the community), saying they can keep any of the chapel's treasures recovered from the raiders.
Content Warnings
This adventure does reference blood, blood rituals, cult brainwashing, torture, demons, demon worship, kidnapping, and since we are going to be fighting, there will be violence. There WILL NOT be any sexual references in the game or foul language (that is my own personal preference)

Character Building
I ask that everyone use the superb character builder, Shadowdarklings, to build their Level 1 characters. Like I said earlier, we will stick with the classes/races available in the Shadowdark Core Rules, Cursed Scroll #1, #2, & #3. All characters will be from or living in the village of Hillshire, and I would love to spend some time before the adventure fleshing out your character's backstories before we head into the dungeon. If you use the Shadowdarklings link I have provided above, it will take you to the character builder set up for just the resources outlined. Personally, I like rolling up random characters and running with what I get, but you can also take the time to intentionally build your character.
Game Duration and Post Frequency
1 post per day, major holidays we will slow down. It isn't a long quest, so I don't imagine it taking more than two or three months... This is my first time GMing on Gamers Plane, so I am not 100% sure.
Specialized Software & Resources
None. Everything will be handled on Gamers Plane and the Quickstart Rules for the game are free.
Player Experience Requirements
Any and all are welcome. Shadowdark veterans and those newly baptized into the world of Shadowdark.

This game is open and welcoming to all. Let's just get into a dungeon and beat up some baddies.
