can't change PFP or username?

this has almost certainly been asked before but can anyone help me with potential fixes? i've tried just changing my profile picture as well as deleting the old one, saving and then uploading the new one but no cigar.

also back to the site after a LONG hiatus but is there a way to change usernames now? pretty sure there wasn't last i was here but maybe it's been added??

full logged out, cleared my browser image cache and logged back in, the new PFP is in place--yay! funnily enough i actually posted a thread about this same issue wayyyy back in 2016 when i was on this site for the first time. crazy!
