Montaron closes his eyes and patiently counts to seven, then punches Xzar hard in the leg. He doesn't even look as Xzar crumbles. "Ye ever known a wizard ta be such an idiot?" he asks Aiwe and Stella. "But all the same, we did receive instruction, from someone I knows ye knows. But if ye've no use for our talents, we'll gladly be outta yer hair."

Dieter was now sure that Aldous was himself and so was Koveras. The father was absent as usual but… he felt off.

From his place on the ground, Xzar calls out, "Stella, you have such lovely eyes. Those stars are like gems. In your eyes" He sits up and makes a diamond with his fingers, then points at his own eyeball. "Gem. In. Eye. Gem-in-eye!" He practically screams the last word, then blinks emphatically several times.

Xzar and Montaron exchange a glance. And then they both speak at the same time.
"Okey-doke!" says Xzar.
"What? No!" says Montaron.
They look at each other again, this time with narrowed eyes, then whip out their hands and engage in a viciously rapid game of rock-paper-scissors, after which Xzar pumps a fist while Montaron groans in defeat.
And then they leave.
